Bed & Breakfast in Torre San Giovanni-Ugento in the seaside

Ammarèa is a family-run bed & breakfast in the heart of Torre San Giovanni, Ugento (Lecce), just a few minutes’ walk from the beaches of the Ugento Coastal Nature Park. We personally manage the property with care: from welcoming guests to breakfast, every detail is handled by us. The rooms are spacious and feature hypoallergenic linens, a mini fridge, 32” TV, safe, and independent air conditioning. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, bidet, towels, hairdryer, and courtesy kit. You can relax in the back garden or on the front terrace, both furnished with tables and armchairs — the perfect place to enjoy Salento evenings without needing to drive.

Our breakfast

The Italian breakfast is the moment our guests remember most. Every morning we serve it in the garden — with natural light, fresh air, and no rush. The table includes fresh homemade sweets and typical Salento products, warm pasticciotto prepared for you, coffee, juices, and everything you need to start a perfect day by the sea, with a few small variations that may change from day to day. This is not a hotel breakfast: it is the breakfast of a Salento family who wants you to feel at home.

We know every room down to the smallest detail, and we welcome every guest as we would welcome someone into our own home. Area seaside

Torre San Giovanni has been awarded the 2026 Blue Flag and is located within the Ugento Coastal Nature Park. Its dunes and fine sandy beaches, among the most beautiful in Salento, are just less than 5-minute walk from Ammarèa. The sea is clear and ideal for snorkeling and diving. In the evening, the seafront comes alive with restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream shops, festivals, and entertainment. From the B&B you can move around without a car: supermarket 3 minutes away, restaurants and bars in the center 2 minutes away, pharmacy nearby. For those who wish to explore, Santa Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli are 30 minutes away by car, while Pescoluse (the “Maldives of Salento”) is 15 minutes away. For guests who prefer not to drive, the Salento in Bus service connects Torre San Giovanni with the entire Salento peninsula, with frequent daily routes.
